EDDIE HILL'S FUN CYCLES 1-25-2011

Tuesday, 1-25-2011 I was checking my blog out when I noticed that I hadn't done an update on Eddie Hill's Fun Cycles in quite awhile. So, to remedy that, I grabbed my camera , saddled up on the bike and headed downtown. Scroll down and join me for this short ride and get reacquainted with the folks down at Eddie Hill's Fun Cycles, here in Wichita Falls Texas. REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE.

Eddie Hill's Fun Cycles is located at 401 N. Scott in downtown Wichita Falls Texas. The business phone is: 940-322-4121

They handle Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles and a large assortment of those 4 wheeled r.v.'s that are very popular with the hunting crowd as well as those who like to rip and tear thru the woods and river beds. They are to the South what Snow Mobiles are to the North.

They always have a lot of 4 wheelers parked out front for you to look at and start up..

I go inside and see Trey. Trey is the GM of Eddie Hill's Fun Cycles. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and will help you out anyway he can. As a matter of fact, everyone that works at Eddie Hill's is knowledgeable, friendly and will do their best to make your purchase a great experience.

One of the new bikes Kawasaki has come out with this year is this 2011 Vulcan Vaquero. It's a 1700 cc bike with lots of goodies and this thing will move. The price tag is surprising low for the amount of bike you get.

Remember back in the day that this was a medium sized bike? Back then I think the biggest bikes made were the Harley Davidson 900 Sportsters.

I lucked out and was able to catch Eddie Hill and Ercie Hill at the Dealership. . Eddie Hill is a world renown Dragster Champion and Drag Boat Champion and he holds world records in both sports. For more info on this friend & Champion, see these links: www.naberthpa.com/bale/bmp/dbc/ehill/ehill_00_stats.htm
www.draglist.com/artman2/publish/yesterdays_heroes/the_racing_career_of_eddie_hill.shtml

In addition to the fine motorcycles, Eddie Hill's also has a good selection of biker accessories and apparel.

Another great looking bike and one that is extremely inexpensive is this 2011 Yamaha Stryker. It's a bad looking bike with the power to back up its looks. This has a 1304 cc engine. I felt nothing but speed and power exuding from it as it sat there on the Showroom floor

That 1st bike is a black 2011 Vulcan Vaquero. Eddie Hill's also has an assortment of used bikes for sale, everything from Harley Davidson's to Suzuki's and everything in between.

Like I said, Eddie Hill's has a LOT of bikes on the showroom floor for sale. As I looked at prices on these bikes, I saw that it truly a buyers market and you can get an OUTSTANDING deal on just about all of their motorcycle stock

This is Mark. Mark is the salesman that I bought my 2008 Vulcan 900 Classic LT from. I put 33,000 miles on that bike in just under a year and a half and never had a problem with it. It was still in showroom condition when I sold it and the guy that bought it from me is still riding it cross country and all over the local area with us.

More apparel and accessories at Eddie Hill's Fun Cycles.

More bikes on the showroom floor. I really like the paint job on that Shadow. (Blue/Silver) Same as my Vulcan was.

On the upper showroom floor, are more bikes and the dragster on display is the famous yellow Pennzoil Dragster that Eddie drove.

Also on display is Eddie's Drag Boat, The Texan, that he set the world's record in.

Here are the Gold Wings. Also on this floor are the Sport bikes, which they are in the process of moving down stairs

They have almost every color imaginable in the 4 wheelers, even this bright pink 4 wheeler

Some more of the sport bikes on the upper showroom floor. Above Eddie's office are just a few of the trophy's he has won over the years

The first thing you notice when going to the upper showroom floor is this bright orange 2002 Honda 1800 VTX. I think the slip on it said it had over $7,000 in extras. And I believe it only had 11,000 miles on it.

I saw on another motorcycle blog, recently, that these scooters were now referred to as "step thru motorcycles". So, if step thru motorcycles are your thing, Eddie Hill's has several to choose from.

If dirt bikes are for you, then run down to Eddie Hill's Fun Cycles here in Wichita Falls and get one. They have plenty to choose from and they are priced very reasonable. This will conclude this post.
I enjoyed going down to Eddie Hill's today and seeing Eddie & Ercie,Trey & Mark again. It's been far too long. To see what the hours of operation are and everything else you may want to check out at Eddie Hill's, go to this site and enjoy: http://www.eddiehillsfuncycles.com/
Scroll down for more rides, events and runs and don't forget to click on the "OLDER POSTS" link located at the bottom of EACH page or directly under the last post on that page.
Continue to pray for ALL of our troops both in and out of Harm's Way, especially for Che Whitaker and Chris Drage, both of whom are serving in the Afghanistan Theatre of Operations.
Until next post, ya'll be careful out there, keep the rubber on the road, keep your head on a swivel and most importantly of all..........RIDE SAFE!! ........................JOHN

  1. I love the looks of the Vulcan Vaquero, I used to have a Mean Streak. I also love the Kawasaki Voyager, really nice bikes. I remember Eddie Hill and his Yellow Dragster, wow, nice to see them. I'm in NJ but have been thinking about moving South and Texas is one place I would love to go. Any jobs for IT engineers over there? :-)
