Our staging area was the Shell Station at US287/Windthorst Rd at 6:15 pm. We would go KSU at 6:30 p.m. The view ahead on Kell East Freeway (US82) as I approach the "fly over" area. I will be taking the overpass to the right.
I get to the Shell Station and park the bike. Bud, Shane, Tex, Ted and the back of Leland can be seen at the staging area.
This is Matt and Bud (back to camera)
Left to right: Tex, Ted, Laura and Leland at the staging area
Ted talking to Laura. I want you to remember Laura's sunglasses. You will be seeing them again.
Does this bike look familiar? It's our beloved Ms. Clone. Matt bought her from me and I think he said he is keeping her nickname intact.. Matt has put close to 7,000 miles on her since he bought it, which is good. The bike is an outstanding road bike and a real pleasure to ride.
We get ready to go. Leland is heading toward his Harley, and Ted is heading toward his Harley. Ted will be the leader, Leland #2, Bud #3, Shane #4, Matt #5, me #6 and Tex and Laura will be tail gunner. Laura, in the orange shirt, heads for their Harley
We pull out and head South down US287
Tex and Laura catching up to the group.
Getting close to the Wichita Falls Texas city limits South, we continue down US287 enroute to Henrietta Texas, about 20 miles down the road.
Matt, grinning and having a good time, as he heads South down US287
Shane as he heads South down US287
Tex and Laura as they head South down US287
Bud as he heads South down US287
Leland as he heads South down US287
Our leader, Ted, as he heads South down US287
Tex and Laura closed the gap and continue South down US287
We get closer to our exit in Henrietta Texas
I attempt a picture from down by the foot board. That black/silver thing is my left road peg still folded in the up position.
We take the US82 exit and head toward downtown Henrietta Texas
The Henrietta Texas city limits sign
We approach the DQ, which can be seen ahead on the left (the red sign & red roof building)
We arrive and park the bikes. Larry arrives, after playing catchup, from Wichita Falls. He is one of several who just missed us when we pulled out of the Shell Station. The others arrive in a few minutes.
Bud is more than ready to head inside. It was still about 101 degrees outside.
Left to right in the DQ parking lot: Laura, Tex, Ted, Leland, Shane, Bud and Matt
We get ready to head in. That's Bud, Shane and part of Tex at his bike
We get inside and poor Matt gets assaulted by Shane...

Remember Laura's sunglasses? Shane took a liking to them.
Now, ain't he just a little ray of sunshine ...
This is Leeann and her hubby, Johnny
The anti-social ice cream social table: Laura, Tex and Ted
Laura, Tex and Ted give us anti-social comments from the anti-social ice cream social table
Dennis comes over and says hi. Moe, his wife, is in the pink behind him.
Leeann and Johnny place an order at the counter as Moe heads to the table. Dennis stands at the table and visits. I think he is looking at the anti-social ice cream social table.

Leland was not too happy with his soggy steak fingers. When I asked him what they tasted like, he said like they were left over from lunch.

Moe, Shane and Matt talking at our table
Moe & Leeann and Dennis & Johnny at their table in the DQ
Jodi, I swear to you, Shane didn't eat a thing while we were at the DQ in Henrietta Texas. Pay no attention to this picture. It is a figment of your imagination!!
Tex & Ted at the DQ in Henrietta Texas
Tex contemplates on where to stick my camera as Ted laughs in agreement.
Ted and Jimmy at the DQ
Bud, Shane & I have to leave early to get back to Wichita Falls Texas. As I get to my bike, I see this cover that Dennis & Moe have on their Harley. Now, that's a novel idea. Keeps your butt from getting fried on hot days like today when you go to get on it after its been out in the sun.
Bud wanted to take it easy going back, so I fluctuated my speed between 65-70 mph
When Bud closed the distance to this, I would take it back up to 70 mph. This was at about 65 mph.
We all took the Kell Freeway West (US82) exit. This is the last pic I got of Shane today as we neared his exit.
Bud as we head West on US82. I had to twist around in the saddle to get this picture. I waited until the road was clear in front of me before doing so. Didn't want to become a statistic.
I had a great time tonight riding with everyone and being with all my friends down at the DQ in Henrietta Texas. I look forward to our next ride, event or run whenever it occurs and wherever it takes us.
