UPDATE: JIM'S BIKE DETAIL SHOP 8-19-10

Today, Thursday, 8-19-10, I rode the Harley downtown to eat lunch with Janice and then I rode over to Jim's Bike Detail Shop and hung out there for about an hour. As always, I took the camera with me and did an update on the business. Scroll down and join me as I hang out with Jim and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE.

This is Jim, owner of Jim's Bike Detail Shop. Jim is a good friend and the business is biker owned and biker operated. Jim rides an 07 Harley Street Glide and a 2010 chopper he won at the Alvarado Adult Biker Rally on Sept 18, 2010

This is Dearl, a good friend of Jim's. He had stopped in to see Jim also today.

This is Dearl's Harley. He has invested quite a bit in chrome accessories for his bike. It also sounds great in addition to looking great.

Jim and Dearl talk as Dearl gets ready to leave.. His wife, Anne, works a few blocks down from Jim's and Dearl was killing time until it was time to pick her up.

This 2003 Police Special Edition Harley Ultra Classic has 34,000 miles and the owner is selling it for $13,000. This is not a bad looking ride either.

This is Jim's 07 Harley Street Glide. Jim likes to ride and he has put a little over 56,000 on his bike since he bought it new.

This is Jim's poster of the rally in Alvarado Texas and the shadow box with his winning ticket for the chopper and other memento's from the Adult Bikers Rally.

Here is his chopper and two other Harley's that he is selling on consignment. His chopper is NOT for sale.

Jim's chopper that he won in the raffle in Alvarado Texas on July 18, 2010.

One of the bikes for sale is this 97 Harley Softail Custom for $7,800

The 97 Harley STC for sale at Jim's Bike Detail Shop

You can call Jim at the numbers on the paper if interested in the 03 Special Edition Ultra Classic or any of the other bikes for sale at Jim's. Those numbers are in the 940 area code. I'll have them re-listed again at the end of this post

The left side of the 03 Ultra Classic for sale at Jim's Bike Detail Shop

Jim's Bike Detail Shop is located at 1001 Holliday St. here in Wichita Falls Texas.
Tune in to The Bear 104.7 FM or the Outlaw (KOLI) at 94.9 FM from now until the Texas State HOG Rally being held here in Wichita Falls, Texas from Sept 2-5, 2010. They will be advertising "Mini" bike detail specials by Jim's Bike Detail Shop. "Big" Jim Russell, local radio legend & celebrity, known and admired throughout the United States, will be having a live broadcast from Jim's Bike Detail Shop prior to the HOG Rally. Listen to those stations for future details and date/time Big Jim will be broadcasting from Jim's

Jim also does bike/auto State Inspections. My Harley out front. I bought it from Jim. It is a 2001 Harley Heritage Softail Classic. I bought it with 17,000 miles on it and I have managed to get it up to 22,560 miles since Oct 2009, even with all the time off for hospital stays, operations and recovery times..

It took several attempts to get that OPEN sign lit up and in the picture. Seemed like every time I clicked the shutter, it would flash off.. But patience won out in the end

This shop area is for the motorcycle/auto State Inspections that Jim is licensed to do in the great state of Texas..

As soon as Jim gets the grill for this smoker, I am gonna be down there cooking us up some hamburgers and stuff.

Inside the waiting room, front desk and office area, Jim has this big fan going. I had my settings set to fast and it stopped the blade in it's tracks..

On his shelving, he has a lot of those little Harley models you can by. I have our computer/Harley room set up the same way with the models on my shelves.. That poster on the wall is all the models of 2011 Harley's coming out soon, if not already!!

More of the shelving. This building is in a great location. There is a 24 hr. store directly across the street and the alarm on the building will wake the dead. Jim also lives right around the corner. So he saves a bundle on gas.

I love this sign. I told ya'll he likes to ride. Well, when the time hits and he wants to go, he puts this in the window. Ya gotta love the "Sorry went riding" part. So it may behoove you to call the shop first and make sure he is there. Ya all know what it feels like when the wind calls your name..

The back fender on Jim's chopper

The gas tank. Jim wasn't happy when some gas leaked out from the gas cap and got under the paint some how and it messed up the paint job. Jim called down to Dallas and talked to the builder and he told Jim to take the gas tank off and take it to him in Dallas and he'd fix the paint problem and artwork..

While I was there, a customer brought this Harley trike in to be detailed.

Some of the chrome & gold extras on the trike.

The headlight, running lights and turn signals with their custom parts

Jim looking at the trike and talking to the owner (yellow shirt) and the owners brother (white shirt). The owner told us he had a little over $43,000 tied up in the trike.

The instrument panel

The tires on the trike.

A view from the right side at the instrument panel and cup holder.

The rear of the trike as the trike is parked in the service area of the business.

This is the 1997 Harley Softail Custom for sale for $7,800, I believe. Give Jim a call if interested and he can give ya all the details of the bike.

This is the Softail Classic for sale, again, I believe, for $7,800. Give Jim a call if interested.

Jim does a range of services at Jim's Bike Detail Shop. He does the Texas State Inspection for auto/bikes, washes and details bikes....

He also does oil changes, cable servicing (throttle, clutch etc.), he does clutch adjustments and other General Motorcycle service. Call Jim today to make an appointment for your bikes' needs or to see if he can help you out in other areas of servicing that you may need. Again, Jim's Bike Detail Shop is located at 1001 Holliday St. Wichita Falls Texas 76301, The shop phone number is: 940-691-1121 and the business phone is 940-232-4181. Give Jim a call today and see what he can do for you, or, if you're in the area stop by and say hi to Jim and tell him North Texas Bikers IV sent you. Above is Jim by his truck.
This will conclude this post. I enjoyed visiting with Jim and Dearl today and look forward to stopping by and visiting Jim again and riding with Jim & Dearl here in the near future.
